Job Description
You will serve as a QUALITY ASSURANCE SPECIALIST (METROLOGY) in the Electrical Shop, Production Resources Department of PORTSMOUTH NAVAL SHIPYARD.
**Qualifications:**
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience with quality principles and practices, calibration methodology, inspection and quality control processes. Experience with NAVSEA requirements and operating procedures related to metrology and calibration functions. Experience interpreting calibration requirements, technical data, product specifications, drawings, policy statements and other guidelines in order to identify the characteristics to ensure quality. Experience leading failure analysis investigations to determine the cause of quality problems and recommend preventive actions.
