Job Description

About the Position: Serves as Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) in the Department of Public Works (DPW) with responsibility for the planning, development, evaluation, oversight and payment of contract performance for municipal service contracts involving refuse collection, facility maintenance, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, filter replacement, HVAC controls, grounds maintenance, custodial services, and elevator maintenance.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) administer and/or monitor construction contracts to ensure compliance with contract requirements; 2) ensuring adherence to safety requirements of projects; AND 3) Observing all phases of construction and service contract work to ensure compliance with contract schedules, specifications and shop drawings. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the Federal service (GS-09). Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-09).
