Job Description

You will serve as an Interdisciplinary Biologist/Environment Engineer/Physical Scientist of COMNAVREG SE JAX. This position is the principal advisor for Regional Environmental Coordinator (REC) functions at Navy Region Southeast. This position is the principal advisor for DOW Lead Environmental Component (LEC) Functions at Navy Region Southeast. This position provides operational environmental support to Fleet Forces Command.

**Qualifications:**
Selective Placement Factor (SPF): If applying for this position as an Environmental Engineer (0819 series), you must have a current Professional Engineer (PE) registration from any state, the District of Columbia, Guam or Puerto Rico. You must provide a copy of your current registration with your application. A copy of a wall certificate that does not show current registration status will not serve to verify you meet this requirement. In addition to meeting the Basic Requirements for the series in which you are applying, your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing the following duties: Serving as the principal advisor for environmental policy and mission sustainment; defending and enabling the Navy's mission by strategically engaging with regulatory agencies, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), and the public across a multi-state area of responsibility; Interpreting key responsibilities to include; strategic policy & coordination, mission sustainment & advocacy, stakeholder engagement & outreach and analysis & reporting.
