**Qualifications:**
This position has a Selective Placement Factor that will be used to screen out ineligible candidates. The Selective Placement Factor is: You must currently be a licensed Professional Engineer (PE). Your license must be held in any State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States. NOTE: You must submit a copy of your current license with your application package. A copy of a wall certificate that does not have an expiration date will not serve to verify this requirement. In addition to the SPF and Basic Requirements, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Applying structural engineering expertise to designs for major projects for customers; 2) Managing structural engineering facilities projects with adherence to budget, schedule, and quality standards; 3) Performing field investigations to verify and document existing structural conditions as a basis for the design of facility projects; 4) Providing technical advice and guidance to client staff engineers on design support of architectural and engineering contracts Additional qualification information can be found from the following Office of Personnel Management website:https://www.opm.gov/policy-data-oversight/classification-qualifications/general-schedule-qualification-standards/0800/civil-engineering-series-0810/ Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social).
