***ACCESS TO MEDICAL AND DENTAL CARE IN JAPAN IS EXTREMELY LIMITED. Please see Additional Information section below.*** You will serve as a INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS SPECIALIST of COMSUBGRU SEVEN, YOKOSUKA.
**Qualifications:**
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector demonstrating specialized experience in the following: Bi-lingual English/Japanese is preferred to have native fluency and proficiency in the Japanese language; or certification at JLPT N1 (oral and written) or Defense Language Proficiency Level 3; or ability to certify as JLPT N1 or Defense Language Proficiency Level 3; Knowledge of Japanese culture, US-Japanese government affairs and U.S. military; and familiarity with the Japan-US Security Treaty (Treaty of Mutual Cooperation and Security Between Japan and the United States of America); Experience dealing effectively with sensitive bi-lateral governmental relations; negotiations and topics while protecting and promoting U.S. Government interests; and Familiarity planning or assisting execution of international protocols in official, formal and informal bi-lateral settings.
