Transportation Readiness and Mobilization Specialist

About the Position: This position is with HQ, Military Surface Deployment Distribution Command, Deputy Chief of Staff for G3,Readiness & Training Division, located at Scott Air Force Base, Illinois. The incumbent will serve as a Transportation Readiness and Mobilization Specialist in the Movement Program Section, International Movements Branch, G3.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service which includes: assisting in the development of mobilization plans by tracking readiness metrics for command review; monitoring transportation systems to ensure the efficient processing of ocean cargo manifests in accordance with regulatory requirements; and gathering data to support mission analyses for determining personnel mobilization strategies. Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Data Analysis Oral Communication Planning and Evaluating Transportation Policy and Regulation Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
