**Qualifications:**
GS-11: One year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to that of the next lower grade (GS-09) within the federal service, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position, is required. Specialized experience at the GS-11 level is defined as: analyzing financial and accounting operations to recommend process improvements; monitoring and evaluating financial systems to identify weaknesses and ensure compliance; and/or analyzing the impact of applicable laws and regulations on an organization's financial policies, operations, and systems. GS-12: One year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to that of the next lower grade (GS-11) within the federal service, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position, is required. Specialized experience at the GS-12 level is defined as: performing financial systems analysis in support of financial management principles as they relate to automated military pay operations and systems processing; applying system testing and evaluation principles, practices, and procedures; and/or researching and analyzing military pay directives and regulations to assess their impact on current and planned systems operations. GS-11 Time-in-Grade: Current or former federal employees who have held a GS position in the preceding 52 weeks, must meet the time in grade requirement. Applicant must have served 52 weeks as a GS-09 or higher grade in Federal Service. GS-12 Time-in-Grade: Current or former federal employees who have held a GS position in the preceding 52 weeks, must meet the time in grade requirement. Applicant must have served 52 weeks as a GS-11 or higher grade in Federal Service. ** To verify you meet the time-in-grade requirement, please provide a copy of a recent SF-50 that shows you have completed at least 52 weeks at the next lower grade level. Examples of qualifying SF-50s include: Within-Grade Increase (WGI) Promotion Any SF-50, if its effective date allows a specialist to calculate 52 weeks of service. (The effective date is in the upper-right corner of the SF-50)** This announcement will be used to fill positions with an entry grade of GS-11, with a target grade of GS-12. Minimum Salary: Grade GS-11 is $75,374, Maximum is $97,991. Minimum Salary: Grade GS-12 is $90,341, Maximum is $117,446.
