Grants Management Specialist

NIST is seeking a Grants Management Specialist to provide leadership and accountability to subordinate senior managers and staff who provide financial assistance support to NIST and other Department of Commerce (DOC) Bureaus. **Qualifications:**
To qualify, applicants must have one year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-14 (ZA-IV for NIST). Specialized experience is defined as experience: Leading a Federal financial assistance group, including oversight of grants, cooperative agreements, or other financial assistance programs; Interpreting and implementing Federal financial assistance regulations (e.g., 2 CFR 200, DOC/NIST policies); Directing subordinate supervisors; Managing organizational resources; and Developing or implementing policies, procedures, or organizational strategies for complex, high-dollar assistance portfolios. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
