**Qualifications:**
Skills and Knowledge: Must have some experience working with cats and dogs within a boarding or animal clinic background preferred. Must have knowledge of and interest in animal's characteristics, needs and behavior. Skill in observing, handling, and controlling animals without injury to animal or self. Knowledge of animal's normal appearance and activities to recognize obvious changes. Knowledge of normal feed and liquid needs of animals. Ability to follow oral and written instructions. Responsibility: Performs assigned tasks independently. Physical Effort: Frequently lift and carry items up to 50 pounds. Required to use of brushes, hoses, pooper scoops, squeegees, and other cleaning implements. Walk/stand for extended periods and work may be performed in a bent position. Physical effort may be required to handle docile and sometimes recalcitrant animals. Working Conditions: Exposed to unpleasant odors, animal waste, potential animal bites, and scratches. May be required to wear protective equipment. Please include MONTH/YEAR and HOURS per week for all previous work experience listed on the resume.
