Electronics Technician

**Qualifications:**
To be considered for the position, you must meet the following qualification requirements. Education: GL-09: Two full years of graduate education or a master's degree, only in those instances where it is directly related to the work of the position. GL-10: There is no substitution of education for specialized experience. OR Experience: GL-09 and GL-10: You must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and complexity to the next lower grade level. To be creditable, this experience must have equipped the applicant with the particular qualifications to perform successfully the duties of the position to be filled. Some examples of this qualifying experience are: GL-09: Experience in the use of a variety of schematic diagrams and testing equipment to test, troubleshoot, modify, calibrate, install, maintain, repair, or construct electronic equipment. Experience identifying and correcting electronic deficiencies and recommend improved procedures. Experience working in programmable logic controllers, CCTV/DVR systems and fire. GL-10: Experience performing installation, maintenance, operation and testing duties on electronic equipment. Experience reading, interpreting, and working from blueprints, drawings, schematics, and specifications. Experience working with PBX phone switches, trunked radio systems, and electronic fences. If applicable, credit will be given paid and unpaid experience. To receive proper credit, you must show the actual time (such as number of hours worked per week) spent in the activities. **Your eligibility for consideration will be based on your responses to the questions in the application.**
