**Qualifications:**
To qualify for the Property Disposal Technician, PG-1107-7, you must meet the following requirements: Applicants must possess one year of specialized experience that is equivalent to at least the PG-6 grade level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector, which includes: (1) Maintaining records on surplus items and recommending methods for disposal. (2) Preparing property descriptions to conduct surplus property sales. (3) Compiling reports and financial inventory documents related to excess and surplus property. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
