Financial Analyst

This position is located in the Financial Planning & Analysis (FA) organization or in the Financial Strategy and Operations (FT) organization of Finance (F), Bonneville Power Administration (BPA). The purpose of this position is to serve as a financial analyst responsible for planning, leading, and supporting a variety of financial processes and conducting a variety of financial analyses independently.

**Qualifications:**
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: A qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level, GS-11, in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position is defined as: 1) Conducting financial analyses and evaluations, including rate or budget impacts and alternatives, to drive strategic decision-making or ensure regulatory compliance; 2) Developing and maintaining financial models for budgeting or forecasting, translating data into actionable insights for leadership; and 3) Supporting budget development or coordination, and contributing to financial policy implementation. "Experience" refers to paid and unpaid experience. Examples of qualifying unpaid experience may include: volunteer work done through National Service programs (such as Peace Corps and AmeriCorps); as well as work for other community-based philanthropic and social organizations. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills; and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
