Job Description
This position is located in the Financial Planning & Analysis (FA) organization or in the Financial Strategy and Operations (FT) organization of Finance (F), Bonneville Power Administration (BPA). The purpose of this position is to serve as a financial analyst responsible for planning, leading, and supporting a variety of financial processes and conducting a variety of financial analyses independently.
**Qualifications:**
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: A qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level, GS-11, in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position is defined as: 1) Conducting financial analyses and evaluations, including rate or budget impacts and alternatives, to drive strategic decision-making or ensure regulatory compliance; 2) Developing and maintaining financial models for budgeting or forecasting, translating data into actionable insights for leadership; and 3) Supporting budget development or coordination, and contributing to financial policy implementation. "Experience" refers to paid and unpaid experience. Examples of qualifying unpaid experience may include: volunteer work done through National Service programs (such as Peace Corps and AmeriCorps); as well as work for other community-based philanthropic and social organizations. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills; and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. You must meet all qualifications and eligibility requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
