Job Description
The Office of Support Operations (OSO), Business Management and Continuity Branch is looking for a dynamic, and forward-thinking professional to further enhance and empower contingency planning for the SEC. The branch ensures the SEC has a robust continuity capability to respond to market and operational incidents by maintaining support to the White House and sustaining the performance of essential functions during all conditions.
**Qualifications:**
All qualification requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement. Time-in-grade for this announcement is one year at the GS/SK-13 level. Qualifying experience may be obtained in the private or public sector. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENT: SK-14: Applicant must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS/SK-13 level. Specialized experience includes the following: 1) Collaborating with senior leadership and programs' stakeholders to implement a federal continuity of operations (COOP) program and related contingency programs in accordance with presidential policy and federal continuity directives (e.g., programs specific to Presidential Policy Directive 40 (PPD-40): National Continuity Policy, the Federal Mission Resilience Strategy, Federal Continuity Directives (FCD), and the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP)/Office of Management and Budget (OMB) Directive D-16-1.) ; AND 2) Leading continuity communications programs or processes in accordance with applicable continuity-specific presidential policy and federal continuity directives (e.g., programs specific to Presidential Policy Directive 40 (PPD-40): National Continuity Policy, the Federal Mission Resilience Strategy, Federal Continuity Directives (FCD), and the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP)/Office of Management and Budget (OMB) Directive D-16-1.) ; AND 3) Developing continuity trainings and exercises consistent with federal regulations, directives and policies (e.g., programs specific to Presidential Policy Directive 40 (PPD-40): National Continuity Policy, the Federal Mission Resilience Strategy, Federal Continuity Directives (FCD), and the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP)/Office of Management and Budget (OMB) Directive D-16-1.) ; AND 4) Producing and reviewing written documentation, including continuity plans, incident management, and applicable emergency response procedures.
